Welcome to a new year at Sunrise Elementary! If you have attended Sunrise before, welcome back. If you are new to Sunrise we want you to feel welcome here. I know we will all have a great year together. As we progress through the year, projects that your students complete, and concepts studied will be posted on the grade level pages of the Sunrise music website. Please take time to listen to your child's class projects-you may be pleasantly surprised to hear what they can do in music.
Announcements regarding program dates and rehearsals etc. will be posted on the main page of the music site so that you will always have information regarding upcoming programs and concerts. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding our music program here at Sunrise Elementary.

Kindergarten
Welcome to Sunrise Elementary School! Please feel free to check this page on a regular basis to see what your children are learning in music class. Our Program will be on April 15th, 6:40 or 7:20 depending on which class your child is in.

Grade 1
Welcome to Sunrise Elementary first grade! Please click on the icon to see what your first grade child will be doing in music this year! Our first grade program will be an Informance and will be held either the evening of Jan 22nd for Ms. Morrow's room at 6:30, and Mrs. Fischer's room at 7pm. January 24th for Mrs. Weiler's room at 6:30, and Ms. Ternes' room at 7pm. Please click on the link for more information regarding first grade music.

Grade 2
Welcome to second grade at Sunrise Elementary! Feel free to click on the icon to see what your child will be doing in music class this year. Our Holiday program will be held on December 10, 2012 at 6:45pm. Hope to see you there!
There will be a dress rehearsal at 2:20 that afternoon should you be unable to attend the evening performance.

Grade 3
Third grade classes will be doing several projects this year! Please click on the xylophone to see how much we are learning as the year progresses. We will be having our program on November 5, 2012 at 7:00pm.

Grade 4
Welcome to Sunrise Elementary fourth grade music class. This year in music we will be learning to play the recorder. If you would prefer that your child not use a school recorder you may purchase a quality recorder at a reputable music store in town. An Aulos recorder or Yamaha recorder would be an excellent choice. Please click on the icon of the recorder for more information regarding fourth grade music classes.
Our program will be on March 14, 2013 at 7pm.

Grade 5
Fifth grade will be undertaking several major projects this year. We will continue to hone our recorder skills that we acquired last year. If your child owns a recorder from last year, they may bring it to the music room to place in the classroom recorder bin. Please be sure to label the recorder with your child's name on both the case and the recorder. Our program will be February 28, 2013 at 7pm.

Grade 6
Welcome to the sixth grade at Sunrise Elementary! If your child owns a recorder from a previous year, they may bring it to the music room to place in the classroom recorder bin. Please be sure to label the recorder with your child's name on both the case and the recorder. To see more information regarding sixth grade music class, click on the hands.
The 6th grade program/Parent Appreciation Night will be May 7, 2013 at 7pm.

Band
Welcome to Sunrise Elementary Band! Please use this link for rehearsal schedules and concert schedules. Matthew Salzer is our Band Director this year. Our All-City Band Concert will be on December 13th at 7pm at CHS.
